Philippine Flight Network says the airline is planning to resume service to BASCO on February 3, 2014 with three weekly flights. Service to BUSUANGA is also expected to be re-instated in February. SKYJET took delivery of an BAE 146-100 on December 31, 2013, ahead of a planned
resumption of services. The Skyjet suspended operations in October 2013 after its then sole aircraft, an BAE 146-200, was written off after it overran the runway on touchdown at Balesin Island airstrip. Failed plans to secure the necessary arrival permits and thus resume services in December were blamed on red-tape as well as management issues.
