1 Time Airline
is now aiming to resume operations in March next year using a fleet of
A320-200s. In an interview with South Africa's BusinessDay, the Managing
Director of PAK Africa, Tabassum Qadir, said her firm hopes to finalize
the acquisition of 1time's brand and Johannesburg Stock Exchange
listing by February at the latest. PAK recently bought a 62% stake in
Global Airways, part of Global Aviation Oprations (QG,Johannesburg
O.R.Tambo ), which already operates charter flights and is in possession of an air operator’s certificate. Global has also reportedly acquired four A320-200s with a further two expected in February and in March next year. Should operations launch as expected next year, services would include Johannesburg O.R.Tambo, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Durban King Shak. 1 Time Zimbawe (Harare Int'l ) will also come online at some stage in the future, Ms Qadir said.
